Map RPV Web Privacy
Map RPV Web uses the same We Are RPV account service and shared trail master as the app. This notice explains the web-specific data handling. The full We Are RPV Privacy Policy covers the account service and app data in more detail.
Account and sign-in
Your email, password or one-time code is sent directly to the same Supabase project used by the We Are RPV app. The site does not store passwords. It holds the current access and refresh tokens in this browser tab's session storage, clears them when you sign out, and checks active membership before showing the map. Administrators are checked by the same server-side access rules as the app.
Map imagery and location
The Explore basemap loads map tiles from OpenStreetMap's tile service. Satellite tiles load from Esri's World Imagery service. When your browser requests map tiles, those providers can receive your IP address, browser information, and the map area requested. They do not receive your We Are RPV password or sign-in token. If you press My Location and allow browser access, your device location is used in this browser tab to center the map; Map RPV Web does not upload it to the account service.
Shared map edits
When an administrator saves trail status, usage, or a trailhead from the website, the change is sent to the We Are RPV Supabase master and becomes available to app users. The server records the editor's account and update time. Ordinary members can view published map data but cannot save master edits.
